Meeks Bay Resort offers a variety of activities and events that are ongoing throughout the summer and fall.
Hiking: Meeks Bay is the
perfect trailhead for entering the Desolation Wilderness and other
areas related to Meeks Bay Meadow. Short hikes can be taken at Sugar
Pine Point State Park.
Beach: We have the finest white sand beach on Lake Tahoe complete with a designated swimming area.
Boating & Marina:
Meeks Bay Resort's marina offers a full service marina with various
ammenities such as canoe, paddle boat, and kayak rentals, as well as
boat tours and fishing excursions in Lake Tahoe.
Fishing: World famous Makinaw trout can be caught from shore or you can inquire about full service charters.
Native American Cultural Presentations:
Plan to attend the AIFI (American Indian Film Institute), the Washoe
Film Academy, and the Washoe Wah She Shu Et Deh (the Washoe Cultural
Art Festival).
Native Visions Film Festival:
Washoe Tribe sponsors in conjunction with AIFI (American Indian Film
Institute) & Meeks Bay Resort the 3rd Annual Native Visions Film
Festival. Showing Award Winning American Indian Independent and Student
